Rural & island transport is viewed within the context of mobility. Mobility is having options, transportation or digital or otherwise, that you can count on to give you access to the things you need. The theme touches on almost all aspects of rural and island life and the 2021vSRP session offered a platform to explore current constraints to rural mobility and the opportunities to address them.
It builds on ongoing consultation conducted by the SRITC and its partners, drawing on learning from Scotland’s pandemic response and captured in the report Covid-19 as a Catalyst for Rural Mobility.
