If you want to develop a policy or project for a rural or island place (or places) but don't know where to start or just need a sounding board, look no further! We offer tailored support and workshops for policy makers, academics, funders, local government, private sector companies and civil society practitioners on how to apply a rural lens to policy making and service design.
Our approach is informal and informative, and based on tools developed through the Scottish Rural & Islands Parliament. It can be adapted for any policy or service focus, and for any size of group, from two to two hundred, and we will work with you to design the methodology and outputs you need.
Our initial consultation is free, and sometimes that initial consultation is all you will need.
If we do proceed with designing or delivering a workshop for you, or a larger scale knowledge exchange project, we may negotiate a fee. We are very happy to work on a donation basis, but we will ask for our expenses to be covered, especially if it helps to bring in one of our many expert partners such as InspirAlba, the Scottish Islands Federation, or the Scottish Rural & Islands Transport Community.
